This scene overlooking the Methow Valley was chosen for an end-of-the-day, sunset series. The light was warm and beautifully soft. Everything was going great until a pickup truck pulled up and parked nearby. A woman got out and walked up to the ridge we were shooting on. She too wanted to watch the sunset. After it was clear she wasn't going to leave us, we stopped the shoot and move to a more private forest location nearby, what became the Tightrope series. The photos here, Methow Gold, were taken as the start of Tightrope before we had to move locations)
