It's a little surprising that in 3 1/2 years of working in Russia, we've never done a photo shoot with a pool in it. Russia isn't exactly pool country, but it's not a bad idea. We've used the Gulf of Finland, Lake Ladoga, the Black Sea, and Sea of Japan for our water locations, but never something as simple and familiar as a backyard swimming pool. Thanks to MPL photographer Alexander Lobanov, who set one up this summer behind his house, he now has a swimming pool to photograph models around along with somewhere to soak after a long day in the hot sun. Good thinking. Alita already looks right at home!
